Job Description

Our Latin American Tax team in Mexico is growing, and we are hiring a Tax Advisor. Our Tax team in Mexico is tasked in ensuring that we meet our tax obligations. It is a wide-ranging area – from tax research, planning and compliance, business support through to developing and implementing systems to support data collection, analysis, preparation and submission. The tax function in Latin America is critical to our business, especially in several complex jurisdictions such as Mexico. Whether preparing and completing tax returns and reports, catching up with the latest developments in tax law or answering enquiries from a host of internal and external customers, we are always switched on and on top of our game.

What you’ll achieve:


As a Tax Advisor, you will drive tax compliance and reporting through process improvement and automation, and partner on tax examinations by developing defense strategies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Tax preparation of corporate tax returns to ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.
  • Participate in tax audits and the preparation of statistical and financial reports.
  • Handle the processing, reporting, validation, inquiries, and disputes from both internal and external customers related to tax liability.
  • Ensure Dell’s compliance with tax laws and adherence to policies and internal controls within area of specialty while minimizing Dell’s liability.
  • Prepare tax related journal entries and reconciles general ledger accounts.
  • Manage the timely and efficient administration of information assimilation and reporting through the review of processes and implementation of procedures that improve speed and efficiency of administration
  • Prepare quarterly and annual tax provision and tax provision to return reconciliation to be recorded and submitted for global consolidation. Collaborating efforts between outside tax return service providers and the internal finance organization.
  • Advise and Review tax compliance related to digital environment, e.g. CFDIs, electronic Accounting, Tax Mail, etc.

  • Essential requirements:


  • Bachelor’s in Accounting/Business Administration/Law.
  • English/Spanish fluent communication skills
  • 5+ years directly related and progressively responsible tax experience
  • 2+ years' experience working within a Big 4 environment or large accounting firm
  • MBA or Masters degree in Taxation is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills (including electronic reporting and compliance)
  • Experience with Income tax and tax provision activities
