As of January 1, 2022 Chevron will convert existing Retail sites to the Caltex brand as well as kick off an aggressive growth plan to increase the number of Chevron supplied Caltex branded Retail Fuel sites across Australia.




Chevron Australia Downstream is seeking to appoint a Retail Business Consultant who will be responsible for achieving key financial targets (NOI, Volume & Opex) and new site growth plan for assigned territory of Branded Retailer network (Retail Owned Retailer Operated). Reporting to the Manager, Fuels Retail, this exciting opportunity is based in Brisbane with regular travel.


Responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Understand financial drivers of retailer's business operations and provide site and account level consulting to drive same station sales and maximize station profitability.
  • Manage execution of all retail programs, fuels, card marketing to meet all brand, image and service standards and ensure compliance with Chevron branded agreements.
  • Solicit new business and develop branding offers for new sites and retention deals for existing sites within area.
  • Use sales tools, such as SalesForce to manage all leads and opportunities.
  • Develop and execute Strategic Network Plan for assigned territory, including annual business planning.

  • Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Bachelors’ degree in any field preferably related in Sales and Marketing
  • At least 3 years of working in the Retail Fuels business, ideally working with 3rd party Retailers in the RORO class of trade
  • Background in Retail, Sales, or Marketing and experience managing customers
  • Independent, able to manage network of Retailers to grow the business with minimum supervision
  • Possess strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Excellent people skills and able to work with diverse groups
  • Demonstrated good teamwork abilities
  • Performance driven, self-motivated and solution orientated
  • Possess valid driving license
